First, lets start with the technical details of the original game. And since this is Tekken 5 on the PS3, we need a comparison point for the PS2 version that came out 2 and a half years ago. Tekken 5 when pictures first started showing up looked good again. 2 was better, but largely special just because it was a 3d fighter, Tekken 3 hit a high point and the Playstation version (which at multiple times was rumored to be impossible, or that it would come with a chip to plug into the Playstations expansion port just so the game could run) blew right past the arcade version, Tekken Tag came out with the Playstation 2 and raised expectations for another game, Tekken 4 frankly.sucked, I played it once and that was it. Tekken was a good game, nothing overly special, but introducing new things. Tekken 5 is the 6th game in the Tekken series (1, 2, 3, Tekken Tag, and 4 came prior).
Dark Resurrection Online is damn near the 7th version of Tekken 5 there is, so lets start there. The King of Iron Fist Tournament returns for a 5th run thru(or a 6th.or.well, it depends how you count stuff.), so let's start there. Five new characters have been added to the ever-expanding regular cast, and all of the special modes from the previous games have been brought back, along with the addition of a combat minigame starring Jin Kazama in his own side tale and a platforming game called “Devil Within.” The opportunity to personalize the characters by giving them different colored garments, additional costumes, and things that can be bought with money earned from the battles and then equipped is something else that is brand new to the franchise.It's time for a new review, and if old reviews are any indication, few people will read, and less people will care and/or post.
Tekken 5 is a versus fighting game that is more similar to past iterations of the series as a result of reducing the odd stage design characteristics that were introduced in its immediate predecessor. When it was announced that the fifth King of the Iron Fist competition would be held, Kazuya and his son Jin decided to participate in it together in an effort to unravel the riddle. Despite this, the Mishima Zaibatsu continues to do business as usual, albeit its leaders remain a mystery. Heihachi is presumed to have been put to death, while Kazuya betrays his father and makes his escape.
The attack includes military helicopters and combat cyborgs. The mysterious G Corporation conducts a full-scale attack on the building that Heihachi and Kazuya Mishima were in during the climactic sequence of the last game.
